Brenda was a Board Member for The Community Outreach for the Prevention of Eating Disorders (C.O.P.E.) from 2012 to 2016. Part of the mission of the organization is to offer education to the community on eating disorders and positive body image. This article references the program offered to middle school girls in Volusia and Flagler Counties (Florida) called "Being a Girl in Today's World"  which addresses media literacy, positive body image and self-confidence.
